There are many ways to make a deferred gift to Friends of UNFPA (formerly Americans for UNFPA) that will ensure support for the health and dignity of women in low income countries for generations to come. For more information, please contact:

Through your will or living trust you can designate Friends of UNFPA to receive a specific dollar amount or property, a percentage of your estate, or the residual after other designations are fulfilled. These gifts may reduce taxes due on your estate.
“I give to Friends of UNFPA or its successor organization [specify property or dollar amount].”
“I give to Friends of UNFPA or its successor organization [all or a percentage] of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate.”
If your gift is intended for use by Friends of UNFPA, the language above will suffice. Should you wish to restrict your gift to UNFPA, that language should be added to the above bequest language, as in:
“I give to Friends of UNFPA or its successor organization the sum of $______ or ______% of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate. I direct that Friends of UNFPA use these funds to support the core work of UNFPA.”
You can donate from your qualified retirement plan, or name Friends of UNFPA as a beneficiary of your retirement plan.
Regardless of whether you already have a policy or are acquiring a new one, you can either assign ownership of the policy to Friends of UNFPA, or simply designate it as the beneficiary. If you name Friends of UNFPA as both owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy you would be entitled to a tax deduction in the year you make your gift.
