A Letter from USA for UNFPA’s Chair of the Board

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the USA for UNFPA Board of Directors, I am writing to share that Melissa Kuklin is stepping down as Executive Director on August 31, 2018.

USA for UNFPA is grateful for Melissa’s eight years of dedicated service and her tireless efforts to advance our mission of supporting the life-saving work of UNFPA, the United Nations reproductive health and rights agency. Please join us in wishing Melissa continued success in her new endeavors as she returns to her career in the nonprofit worlds of arts and education.

The Board of Directors has formed a committee to oversee the search for USA for UNFPA’s next leader. In the interim, Board Members Jacob Onufrychuk and Raoul Slavin will assume the role of Acting Co-Executive Directors. Throughout the transition process, we will communicate important developments with our donors, friends, and supporters and share regular updates about the search on our website.

As we look forward, we are hopeful and excited for the next phase of USA for UNFPA’s growth and impact as we continue to build awareness and critical resources in support of UNFPA’s efforts to end the unmet need for family planning, to end preventable maternal deaths, and to end violence and harmful practices against women and girls.

Thank you for continued support of USA for UNFPA and UNFPA.

Sincerely,

Minh Ngo

Chair of the Board

Thank you for your continued support of USA for UNFPA and UNFPA
