Laura Klauberg is a business leader and active proponent of women’s health, rights and economic opportunity worldwide.

As Vice President of Global Media for Unilever, Ms. Klauberg creates media campaigns for brands, such as Flora, Knorr, Lipton, Dove, Lux, Pond’s, Lynx and Sunsilk. Unilever strives to meet people’s everyday needs for nutrition and hygiene all over the world and to add vitality to life. Ms. Klauberg enhances this mission with her professional and personal commitment to address the social and economic inequities that prevent health and vitality among women.

“Women have a huge role to play in the world and in many cases do not have the opportunity,” says Ms. Klauberg. “Health care is the starting point—if you’re not healthy, you can’t contribute to your family, community or society.”

Ms. Klauberg is President of Connecticut Quest for Peace, which funds a number of projects in Nicaragua, including schools that guarantee daily hot meals and pay teachers’ salaries when the government cannot. The organization also operates health care clinics and funds microfinance programs for women.

Prior to joining Unilever, Ms. Klauberg led marketing for Cheseborough-Pond’s USA, Inc. and Clairol. Her career has taken her to countries all over the world and raised her awareness of the numerous and preventable threats to women’s lives and health.
