Melissa Kuklin, Executive Director
Melissa A. Kuklin is the Executive Director of Friends of UNFPA, where she leads efforts to mobilize funds and action for UNFPA’s lifesaving work. UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, works to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled.
For three decades, Ms. Kuklin has worked in the non-profit sector where she has shaped and launched new fundraising initiatives and improved organizational effectiveness through strategic planning.
Her leadership and management roles include over a decade at Lincoln Center, where she led special events fundraising activities first at The Metropolitan Opera for eight years and later as Director of Special Events at New York City Opera. Ms. Kuklin was also Assistant Vice President for investment banking events at Merrill Lynch and previously worked in development and marketing with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and the Circle Repertory Theatre Company.
Ms. Kuklin received her MA from the Center for the Study of Higher and Post-Secondary Education (CSHPE), University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and completed her undergraduate studies at Smith College.
Jennifer Munz, Director of Individual Giving
As Friends of UNFPA’s Director of Individual Giving, Jennifer works closely with the Executive Director, the Board of Directors, and the development team in order to plan and execute on various fundraising activities in support of UNFPA’s life-saving and global work. With a focus on individual giving and annual giving programs, Jennifer manages a portfolio of donors nationwide and is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift and individual donors.
Over the past 9 years, Jennifer has helped raise critical funds and awareness for various international and domestic nonprofit organizations including: Right To Play USA, Made By Survivors, and United Way of New York City. Jennifer’s personal commitment to the empowerment and well-being of women and girls worldwide led her to join Friends of¬¬ UNFPA in October 2015.
Jennifer has an MA in Nonprofit Management from the New School University, Robert J. Milano Graduate School of Management & Urban Policy, based in New York City. Her undergraduate degree is a BA in Graphic Design from George Mason University.
